Week four is unforgettable to me   .It was   busy and full of tasks and fruitful articles . This is a  tip of the iceberg . I have read the article entitled "Using the Internet in ESL Writing Instruction" by Jarek Krajka and the three elements of on-line lessons
This is one of my wonderful sites
http://www.paperrater.com/ is a free resource
PaperRater.com combines the power of natural language processing (NLP), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, information retrieval (IR)
features include:
•   Plagiarism Detection

I have read the article entitled "Three Extensive Reading Activities for ESL/EFL Students Using E-books" (2004) by Mei-Ya Liang

I agreed with her ideas up to a point about the designed activities which help students choose books that meet their interests and reading levels, read and share books both on their own and in a group, and think critically with online texts, tools and resources .

I learned new ideas about how to ACCESS the book and the information .
HELPING THE STUDENTS CHOOSE BOOKS,conducted by Anne Pausback in a lecture I attended
- FIVE FINGERS RULE FOR DETERMING DIFFICULTY

. I read about using CALL in reading and writing activities.
Gutenberg. Org. The url is http://www.gutenberg.org/

By the way I shared a lot of   these websites between my students at school and they get all the credit.
I also like the idea of having alternative books for students that don't like reading books, such as comics or plays, or even alternate them with books.
And finally creating a Technology Enhanced Lesson Plan

I added some steps  on the lesson plan I have learned from Teachers' Academy in the ministry of education according quality  criteria which are as follows: starter, differentiated activities ,plenary of the lesson and differentiated homework for Middle ,Lower, and Upper levels.

As for the Motivational Strategies by Dörnyei, Z. (2001).

you can have a look and indeed you will be pleased :

one of my plenary activities  was done in the shape of a game " balloon game "

When students are comfortable  using technology at an early age it becomes easier for them to understand more and more .

Weekly Reflection week 3

 Dear All ,

This week is  special and full of reports . I have gained new  things. I hope I get benefit with my students  .In  Zlatka Dyankova's project I liked the idea of webquest site and I exploit the tools in google.com and I shared activities by creating a general Email supervised by me and the students' parents . figure of the Used Email outside the school time

On the other hand ,It was necessary to  hint on  how motivation is a must to attract the students' attention and I always use the best strategies in this respect .To see more please download this link :             http://we.tl/oNcpvJxaGp

Reading the article  entitled "The Employment of CALL in Teaching Second /Foreign Language Speaking Skills" by Julia Gong, I realized the importance of  applications of the computer in language teaching and learning "CALL" in teaching:

-          Preparing  users for real-world tasks and experiences  especially in speaking activities .
-          the CALL environment becomes an ideal safe haven for learners to practise interaction, dialogues and communication

This part of my animated story from Backpack series I teach

Also helpfull sites  for talking like native-speakers that may help :
-http://www.fonetiks.org/
Delicious site was a perfect one to share our best sites . I was fascinated by it .

Also I admired Julia's  idea about the power, flexibility and interactivity of
the Web make it an ideal medium for language instructors who are interested in
providing in-class, out-of-class  which is a co-circular learning ,and I recommend to motivate our students to behave like this .

Weekly Reflection "week 2"

Hi every one ,

Internet has emerged as a powerful tool for education. It is a confluence of all kinds of information related to each and every field of education. It also allows teachers and students, sitting in far flung areas, to interact, share and exchange information. At week 2, I learned how importance is sharing and corresponding between students and teachers , students and students . so I gained a lot of information by you  related webseach, writing objective ( a,b,c,d) methods and how to create blogging  .from this simple circle we can learn  to what extend there is a strong relation sship between the teachers and the students .

Added I  try to link btetween  smartboard and my ipad to be easier to deal with
and here in Bahrain most of students have smart-devices which allow them to reinforce the theory of M-learning i.e mobile learning .BY the way i did it between my student and made a group on What's up for learning and asking and sharing ideas and question, you cant believe how attractive it is for them   . I liked Mariaang idea about skyping in the classrooms  is one step on the roads and i will try using it with the classes .   Also by using the smart phones and i pads which  could be linked between other schools inside and outside the kingdom of Bahrain is a vital thing to complete the circle above   .Another point which is considered for me a solution for many students who couldn't attend the lessons for any reason , it is recording the lessons and uploaded it in youtube.com . by this way many students can follow up what is missing and be on the stake .

weak 1

Hello my all participants,
scanning the rules  for discussion  , I think  that they are obvious and specified .
Rules are important because they are guidelines to what is acceptable and what not. There would be no civilization without rules.

The difference between a law and a rule is that the law describes what the rule is in a negative way, meaning it does state the terms of the broken rule as om "sex with a minor" and describes a proscribed penalty the breaker of the rule has to expect. Also the  rubrics is specified to evaluate the comments .to add more this is a good site to be read dealing with  Classroom Management  Techniques http://www.buzzle.com/articles/classroom-management-techniques.html . It is  supposed that all teachers have them? What do you think ?
Finally , for improving  the rubrics i think that any thing needs polishing and development as you're never too old to learn .
