Weekly Reflection week 3

 Dear All ,

This week is  special and full of reports . I have gained new  things. I hope I get benefit with my students  .In  Zlatka Dyankova's project I liked the idea of webquest site and I exploit the tools in google.com and I shared activities by creating a general Email supervised by me and the students' parents . figure of the Used Email outside the school time

On the other hand ,It was necessary to  hint on  how motivation is a must to attract the students' attention and I always use the best strategies in this respect .To see more please download this link :             http://we.tl/oNcpvJxaGp

Reading the article  entitled "The Employment of CALL in Teaching Second /Foreign Language Speaking Skills" by Julia Gong, I realized the importance of  applications of the computer in language teaching and learning "CALL" in teaching:

-          Preparing  users for real-world tasks and experiences  especially in speaking activities .
-          the CALL environment becomes an ideal safe haven for learners to practise interaction, dialogues and communication

This part of my animated story from Backpack series I teach

Also helpfull sites  for talking like native-speakers that may help :
-http://www.fonetiks.org/
Delicious site was a perfect one to share our best sites . I was fascinated by it .

Also I admired Julia's  idea about the power, flexibility and interactivity of
the Web make it an ideal medium for language instructors who are interested in
providing in-class, out-of-class  which is a co-circular learning ,and I recommend to motivate our students to behave like this .

  1. Hi Belal,
i liked the the URL you shared on your blog but I tried the website soundsofenglish.org and found difficulty following the listening activities. the voice was so mechanical and unclear.Check this please http://www.soundsofenglish.org/activities/ex1.htm
I suggest you try www.livemocha.com. It offers in addition to the listening activities the ability to have live chat with native speakers. Great job, my friend.

    2. Hi Mohamed
I agree with you up to a point .I have already checked the website and found it working .May by the internet is somehow slow as I used the site and it is working well. As for www.livemocha.com. it is my favorite one ,but I see that it deals with speaking and writing practices. and our task focuses on listening pracice as I think .but totally I'd like to thank you a lot for your follow-up.
      Regards

  2. Hi Belal

What a fun post. You have lots of really great ideas to share, and I very much enjoyed the video you posted. If you could turn off word verification step 6 from our handout below then it would make it easier for your readers to post to your blog.
